Here’s an apartment that I staged with bright orange walls. The room looks professional, sophisticated, and mature but still fun. You don’t have to live in a boring space for it to look styled and sophisticated.
Key tips for you to use orange in a clean, sophisticated way.
–ONE OTHER ACCENT COLOR. Here I paired orange with green. The green pulls nicely from the carpet, the plant and even outdoors! It brings in the earthy calm nature feel that balances out the bright orange.
–WHITE. Using white as the main neutral in your room presents it cleanly and very freshly. The white couch and the white table are the main focal points in the room which makes the orange just a nice background color.
–ACCENT PILLOWS. The white couch is accented with orange detailed pillows which pulls back to the orange on the walls nicely.
–ORANGE AS ACCENT WALL. Here the room is neutral with the exception of the one orange wall that acts as an accent wall. This is a great way to liven up a room without losing it completely.
Here’s another room I’ve staged which uses a bit more orange as it has all the walls coated in the color versus the one wall with the pictures above.
Notice that it still uses:
–WHITE as a main color to highlight fresh and clean lines.
–GREEN as an accent color.
–LIGHTS in multiple forms to brighten up and open the room. Notice the standing lamp, the light above the window, and the lamp on the desk.
Hope you’ve found these tips helpful and I would love for you to join me in my next course that I’m teaching!
