A complete renovation of a bathroom can get pretty expensive. Because most homebuyers know this, it’s extremely important that your bathroom is spic and span when you’re trying to sell your home — after all, no one wants to inherit a project they’ll likely have to pour thousands of dollars into!
Luckily, there are many ways to spruce up your bathroom without breaking the bank. And, they’re generally quick and easy DIY fixes! Here are some tricks to try:
1. Paint. It sounds like a no-brainer, but a fresh coat of paint really can work wonders on a room. Choose soft, relaxing colors like lavender, beige or powder blue.
3. Clean, clean, clean. No, we’re not talking about wiping down the bathroom sink and swiping a mop over the floor. It takes some elbow grease, but a detailed bathroom cleaning involves scrubbing the tile and grout, washing curtains, bath mats and rugs, and paying attention to even the smallest spaces. Don’t forget your rubber gloves!
2. Replace fixtures: If your faucet looks outdated, it can be a major turn-off to potential buyers, because it tips them off to the fact that it hasn’t been renovated in quite some time. Updating your faucet is a quick, easy and inexpensive fix!
