I have to admit, I did not set out to vacation in St. Michaels, Maryland, but gosh I’m thrilled I did! I was recently looking for a “special location” to celebrate a milestone birthday with my husband. I was specifically looking for a location near the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area. I also had another criteria, I was looking for a unique luxury hotel in an attractive location, where we could walk quaint streets, window shop, enjoy sumptuous meals and perhaps take in some basic sightseeing. The Inn at Perry Cabin came up during my internet search. Located in St. Michaels Maryland, in Talbot County Maryland, St. Michaels is part of Maryland’s storied Eastern Shore. As a native of Maryland (born and raised) I can tell you in the summer Maryland’s Eastern Shore is one of the more glorious locations to visit along the Eastern Seaboard.
With a host of festivals and events, St. Michaels certainly has its’ share of tourist events. But what you may love most of all is strolling the streets, smashing some crab on newspaper for lunch or eating at one of their fine restaurants.
When it comes to accommodations, The Inn at Perry Cabin is the creme de la creme. The rooms average $500 per night, so needless to say many of our fellow guests were also there celebrating “special” occasions such as milestone birthdays and anniversaries.
If you want to splurge, this is certainly a great place to do it! If not, there are a number of other small inns around town.
The Inn at Perry Cabin offers, Rooms, Master Suites, One-Bedroom Suites and Studios. In the room category, you will find this section taken from the website for The Inn at Perry Cabin below:

Part of the historic colonial section, Deluxe Waterview Rooms offer refined style. Be captivated by panoramic views of the river. Luxuriate in a deep-soak tub in the sumptuous en-suite bathroom.
We stayed in a Superior Room, which is the least expensive room they offer. At an average of $475.00 per night it only goes up from here! But can you really put a price on luxury? (chuckles)
